The Padel World Summit has closed its first edition in Barcelona after gathering a total of 5,838 attendees at the Gran Via venue, establishing itself as the premier trade event for padel professionals. The event featured strong national and international participation, with 120 exhibiting companies from 22 countries and around one hundred speakers.
Organized jointly by the International Padel Cluster (CIP) and Fira de Barcelona, the Padel World Summit has given a fresh boost to the business opportunities offered by this sport, which is experiencing significant global growth. Throughout its three days, numerous commercial deals were carried out, connecting brands dedicated to padel equipment and companies focused on manufacturing courts with industry professionals and club and sports facility managers.
It is worth noting that 40% of attendees were international, coming from 80 countries, with strong representation from the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and the United States.
The event director, Àlex Ponseti, stated that “the decision to organize the Padel World Summit in Barcelona has been a complete success. In this edition, we have made a qualitative leap both in terms of the commercial offerings and the conference program, outlining the roadmap for the present and future of our sport.”
For her part, CIP president and event Advisory Committee chair Mireia Álvarez expressed her “satisfaction with the success of an edition that has sparked great interest among padel professionals worldwide, a sport whose growth seems limitless and which offers countless market opportunities.”
Activities and challenges of padel, in play
The Padel World Summit 2025 was characterized by great dynamism, as exhibiting companies carried out all kinds of activities to showcase their latest innovations in products and services such as rackets, shirts, shoes, playing surfaces, or panoramic courts.
Among the highlights was the celebration of Babolat’s 150th anniversary, the presentation of new courts from AFP Courts and greenset, and activations by brands such as Euronix, Padel Nuestro, Padel Alba, Head, Joma, MejorSet, Mondo, Munich, Portico Sport, Padel Galis, and Playtomic, among others. The eight courts set up in Hall 6 at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona served as the stage for many of these promotional activities.
In addition, the Padel World Summit featured a highly relevant conference program with the Padel Global Conference, which brought together leading national and international experts such as Fernando Belasteguín, considered the best padel player in history; Sebastian Gordon, co-founder of Rocket Padel; Gabriel Pérez Krieb, president of Taktika Equity; and Ana Gómez, marketing director at AFP Group.
Similarly, the startup area, Innovation Arena, with a total of 20 emerging companies and several presentations, was also a highlight of the edition. Likewise, the networking space Investor & Business Forum recorded more than 275 business meetings.
The next edition of the Padel World Summit will take place from May 26 to 28, 2026, at Fira de Barcelona.
